Catalans through the lens
Catalans through the lens

In 2017, I presented my first exhibition and photography graduation project, ''Mireu Me – Catalans Through the Lens'', a photography project displayed at exhibitions in Nottingham, UK and the Truman Brewery in London. This project marked a significant shift in my work, moving from fashion to a more culturally-driven approach.
For Mireu Me, I produced a photo magazine and large prints showcasing portraits of local Catalan men in Barcelona, focusing on their unique fashion styles and favourite locations around the city. The aim was to explore the relationship between personal style and cultural identity, offering a glimpse into the diverse lives of the individuals featured.
I photographed five men, each selecting their locations and outfits to reflect their personal tastes and connection to the city. I accompanied them as they went about their day, capturing their style in spaces that were meaningful to them, creating a narrative that intertwined fashion, place, and identity within the context of modern Catalonia.
